Start date: As soon as possible

    About the role

The successful candidate will be solution focussed with an attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with students, their families, colleagues and outside agencies.

Attendance is a pastoral area with statutory requirements and so good communication skills alongside great organisation are essential. Previous experience supporting within a school setting is desirable.

Typical tasks will include responding to communications from families by telephone, email and letter, sending attendance support letters, updating records both in school and with outside agencies, and tracking actions taken. Input to our registration module on the management information system will be a regular part of the varied duties.

At Blatchington Mill School we value personal professional development and training will be provided.

We welcome applications from all parts of our community as we aspire to have a staff body that matches the social and cultural diversity of our student intake.

For further details please visit our school website. If you wish to apply, please complete and return an application form by the closing date (CVs alone cannot be accepted).

Applications are encouraged from black and ethnic minority candidates, as these groups are under-represented on the school's staff. (Race Relations Act sections 35-38 apply).
