    Advanced Practitioner – Youth Justice Service

    Grade 9 - Salary - £54,267-£58,461pa

    About the Role

    We are looking for a skilled and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join our Youth Justice Service. This is a key role for an experienced professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people involved in the justice system.

    As an Advanced Practitioner, you will act as a practice lead within the team, providing expert advice, guidance, and support to colleagues. You will manage complex cases, ensure high standards of practice, and contribute to service development and innovation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Take responsibility for complex and high-risk cases within the Youth Justice Service.
    • Provide expert advice and mentoring to practitioners, promoting best practice.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, national standards, and local policies.
    • Lead on quality assurance, audits, and practice development initiatives.
    • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated support for young people.
    • Contribute to training and development within the team.

    About You

    • Significant experience in Youth Justice or related services.
    • In-depth knowledge of youth offending legislation, safeguarding, and risk management.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional judgments.
    • Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
