After School Club Assistant

Quarry Bank Primary School

Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.15pm–4.45pm, 38 weeks per year.

Please note that the wraparound provision is open until 5.45pm and there will be regular expectations for additional paid overtime until this time.

Salary: Grade 3 – Actual Salary £4,293.73 to £4,361.58 per annum

Start Date: September 2026

Permanent Position

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and committed After School Club Assistant to join our existing after-school club provision.

The successful applicant will:

• Demonstrate a professional and respectful approach to both children and adults.
• Be confident preparing food within the provision and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate, or be willing to obtain this prior to the start date.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Interact positively with children through games, crafts and indoor and outdoor play activities.
• Be creative and imaginative when planning activities.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children in your care.
• Support and maintain positive links between home and school, ensuring parents feel welcome.
• Support the setting up and clearing away of equipment used within the provision.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged by prior arrangement.
