Are you looking to gain experience working with children in a school setting, or do you have experience as a Playworker or working with children? If you are good with children and have a genuine interest in childcare we would like to hear from you.
Paid weeks per year: 43.89 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)
Fixed term: Likely to be until 31 August 2026
Start date: ASAP (on completion of relevant employment checks)
About the role
After School Club Assistant
Previous experience is not essential, as training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a caring and patient manner, and an interest in supporting children to enjoy a varied range of activities through positive guidance and encouragement.
After School Club Supervisory Assistant
For this role, experience of working with primary aged children is required, alongside an interest of children’s play and emotional needs, and a sound understanding of health and safety.
Westdene After School Club welcomes over 50 pupils each afternoon, so fresh activity ideas and enthusiasm are always appreciated.
Location: Westdene Primary School
Hours: Working hours are 3pm–6.15pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We will be combining successful applicants’ availability to ensure cover across the week, so if you are only able to work some afternoons, please still apply. Please clearly state in your application which days you are available.
