Are you a detailed, focused and technically minded person who enjoys a performance based environment?

We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including the expansion and development of the council's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing effective digital solutions including electronic forms (e-forms), workflows and integrations using a combination of off-the-shelf, software-as-a-service, open-source, and custom-built software
  • Ensuring that developments are current, fit for purpose, aligned to the council’s strategy and follow good practice, including full specification, documentation, prototyping and relevant testing as appropriate
  • Developing integrations including Extract, Load, Transform (ELT / data conversion) between various inhouse and 3rd party systems using a number of techniques e.g. RESTful, SOAP, XML, JSON, CSV, and SQL Databases
  • Acting as a general-purpose database administrator (DBA) to ensure that database systems are secure, patched, maintained, tuned and managed so that applications have ongoing, uninterrupted access to data.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Excellent keyboard skills and use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing applications using technology stacks ASP.NET/.Net Framework /.Net 6-8, Blazor, MAUI, WPF, WinForms
  • Demonstrable experience of writing API / Interfaces between inhouse and 3rd party software applications
  • Knowledge of other coding & scripting languages (PHP, C+, Java, JavaScript, VBA, Visual Basic, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in designing and developing secure applications and processes to protect sensitive data and systems.
