Salary: £55,270 to £61,018 per annum (London weighted salary) dependant on experience plus ECU allowance (If policy requirements are met)

Grade: 10

Reporting Office: London, Stratford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Would you like to join our revamped Housing Management Division as an Area Housing Manager and deliver an excellent service for residents? This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is a customer-focused team player who wants to make a difference.

We are looking to appoint an Area Housing Manager to joinour leadership team within East and East Anglia on a permanent basis, this rolewill be covering Newham and Barking & Dagenham areas (these areas maychange depending on the needs of the business).

In this role you will ensure the delivery of a responsive,efficient, customer focused and agile tenancy management and tenancyverification services to mixed tenure customers and prospective customersthrough effective leadership and management of resources. Representing andchampioning the Trust and its values whilst contributing the financial strengthand customer experience.

Your impact in the role:

The successful candidate will be solution focused and willact as a champion of service improvement and Customer Service. You willdemonstrate strong leadership skills and ideally have experience of growing anddeveloping a team.

You will possess a track record in innovative servicedevelopment, business planning skills and developing operational excellence.You will have a comprehensive understanding of tenancy andestate management including all aspects of anti-social behaviour andvulnerability.

What you'll bring:

  • Housing sector experience and knowledge on all aspects of Tenancy Management and Leasehold management including but not limited to Anti-Social behaviour, Service Charges, New Build developments, Vulnerable Residents and Safeguarding
  • Having the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver a high quality, effective customer focused service in a demanding, public facing environment is essential to this role
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Innovative, solution focused with excellent organisational and reporting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Project Management skills are desirable

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and teams to ensure an effective, efficient and customer focused delivery of all aspects of Tenancy and Leasehold Management, including ASB and Vulnerability
  • To develop, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders and partners, promoting and representing L&Q at meetings/ events to the highest standards
  • Prepare, manage, and control budgets for activities managed whilst having regard for financial strength at all times.
  • Managing and leading a relatively new team to deliver on performance and achieve customer excellence.
  • Providing coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and support to front line colleagues
