    Your new school
    Lift Rawlett is part of Lift Schools, a MAT of 57 schools with 10 in the Midlands, which allows you access to the best training programmes available as well as more internal opportunities. Lift Rawlett is a secondary school led by a dedicated and ambitious Executive Principal, Jasmine Woodard. The school are on a transformational journey and Jasmine has a track record of successfully delivering this. Jasmine is now looking for ambitious staff to be part of this incredibly rewarding, yet challenging, journey and this is an opportunity for you to be part of that as we look to recruit an Art and Design teacher.

    Your new role
    You'll be joining a vibrant and forward-thinking Art and Design department where creativity, experimentation and ambition are at the heart of everything we do. You'll have the opportunity to teach a diverse and well-resourced curriculum, from ceramics and visual elements at KS3 to imaginative GCSE projects like Inside/Outside and Distortion. This role also offers an exciting chance to lead and develop photography, encouraging students to think creatively and take artistic risks. As part of Lift Rawlett's dynamic journey of improvement, you'll have the opportunity to shape and inspire the next generation of artists while collaborating with a passionate team who value innovation, high standards and joy in learning.

    What you'll need to succeed
    You will have a proven track record of delivering Art and Design lessons and a broad and balanced curriculum, facilitating a positive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. You will be able to design engaging lessons, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to raise standards of student attainment. Additionally, you will be able to collaborate with other teaching staff, pastoral staff and parents to support the personal development of students, addressing their individual needs and promoting inclusivity.

    The role is due to commence ASAP. This is initially a fixed term contract but we are hopeful it will be extended or made permanent.
