Arts & DT Technician - Birchwood Community High School

The role

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well organised Arts and DT Technician to support school leaders and teaching staff at Birchwood Community High School in the delivery of high-quality Design & Technology and Art & Design provision by preparing rooms, equipment, materials and learner resources so lessons run safely, efficiently and effectively. This is a full time, term time only plus Inset days, permanent contract.

Essential qualities/experience:

• Relevant experience as a DT/Arts Technician
• Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team using own initiative
• Experience of working with young people
• Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with all members of the school community
• Be confident and have a good working knowledge of ICT
• Drive and motivation to develop the department and take it forward in order to cater fully for the needs of the faculty as they arise
• A desire to contribute to the wider aspects of the faculty and to wider school life e.g. duties and extra-curricular activities
