    The role:

    Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit Assistant Educational Psychologists to join our team, working with children and young people from birth to 25 years of age. We welcome applications from candidates who have a degree in Psychology and an additional post graduate qualification that is relevant to the role. They should also have experience working with children and families. Liverpool City Council is a flexible, family friendly authority. Working hours can be managed flexibly between 6am and 10pm with opportunities to accrue additional leave. All Assistant Educational Psychologists have agile kits that enable them to work remotely in any setting.

    The role will involve working collaboratively with Educational Psychologists to support children, young people and families in schools and settings across the city. Assistant Educational Psychologists will contribute to traded and statutory service delivery. There will be opportunities to develop and deliver training to promote inclusion and support settings. They will support young people with school or home-based interventions to promote attendance.

In addition to supporting schools and settings, there are opportunities to work in specific areas, including section 19, early years, the virtual school, electively home educated, C.M.E., parent forums and underrepresented groups.

    The salary range is advertised as Soulbury Scale A Assistant Psychologists points 2 to 5.
