    Assistant Support Worker - Westcroft (£24,570)

    Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Westcroft, in Tring. Westcroft is a supported living service for individuals with learning disabilities across three main buildings and several community-based homes.

    We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team in empowering people to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

    What You will Do:

    As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Aid with the daily administration of medication
    • Providing personal carewith sensitivity and respect
    • Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
    • Organising trips to local amenities
    • Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
    • Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing

    As an Assistant Support Worker you will;

    • Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence.
    • Promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
    • Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you "being the difference".
    • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs.
    • Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays

    It is essential that you have a Full UK Driving Licence, access to a car, and are happy to do sleep-ins (minimum one per week).
