Assistant Support Worker - Candlemas Mead (£24,570pa)

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in people’s lives? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicatedfull time Assistant Support Worker to join our friendly team at Candlemas Mead, a warm and welcoming supported living home for six adults aged 48-65.

Each resident enjoys the privacy of their own en-suite room, and we work together to create a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment. Hoist training is required, and full support will be provided if you need to refresh or gain this skill.

What You will Do:

As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
• Aid with the daily administration of medication
• Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
• Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
• Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing

It is essential that you are happy to do sleep-ins. (an allowance for £52.78 per sleep in is paid)

As an Assistant Support Worker you will;

• Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence.
• Provide personal care with sensitivity and respect
• Promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
• Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you "being the difference".
• Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs.
