About the Role
Parkside Middle School is seeking an exceptional Associate Assistant Headteacher with responsibility as SENDCo to join our senior leadership team. As our Associate Assistant Headteacher for SEND, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction, strengthening our provision, and ensuring that our culture of high expectations extends to every learner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school and within our new Mainstream Autism Base
- Oversee identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND through the Assess, Plan, Do, Review Cycle
- Ensure statutory compliance, including EHCP processes and annual reviews
- Line‑manage and develop the SEND team, including Assistant SENDCo and Learning Support Assistants and specialist staff
- In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, drive high‑quality adaptive teaching and inclusive practice across all subjects.
- Work with the Senior Leadersip Team to lead whole‑school professional development on SEND and inclusion
- Work closely with families, external agencies, and governors
- Contribute to wider school leadership, improvement planning, and safeguarding

Salary range
