Restoring Hope. Rebuilding Confidence. Pursuing Potential.
Not all attendance roles are the same.
At CEDARS attendance is about far more than registers and procedures, attendance means building relationships, supporting families, safeguarding vulnerable young people and helping pupils reconnect with education. We believe that relationships rooted in kindness and care change lives.
This is a specialist Grade 8 role at the heart of our work to improve attendance, strengthen family engagement and remove barriers to learning.
We are seeking an exceptional Attendance Intervention Manager to join our dedicated team and play a key role in improving attendance, strengthening family engagement and removing barriers to education for some of our most vulnerable young people.
This is not a traditional attendance role. We are looking for someone who can build trusting relationships with pupils and families, undertake home visits, work alongside partner agencies and lead interventions that help young people reconnect with education and achieve success. The successful candidate will work closely with school leaders, safeguarding colleagues and external professionals to improve attendance, promote inclusion and ensure that every pupil is safe, supported and able to thrive.
CEDARS is a values-led Alternative Provision committed to Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Confidence and Pursuing Potential. We are proud of our relational approach and our commitment to ensuring that every young person feels a sense of belonging.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of attendance, family support, safeguarding, education welfare or pastoral work.
Builds positive and professional relationships with young people, families and external agencies.
Understands the barriers that can affect attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
Is resilient, organised and able to work independently.
Can confidently support, challenge and motivate families to improve attendance outcomes.
Has excellent communication, record-keeping and organisational skills.
Shares our values of Trust, Learn and Grow.
In return, we can offer:
The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.
A supportive and ambitious leadership team.
A welcoming and committed staff team.
High-quality professional development and training opportunities.
The chance to contribute to an exciting period of school improvement and development.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. To arrange a visit or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Mrs Rosey Whalley on 01782 973760 or email office2@cedarsnewcastle.staffs.sch.uk.
Please email all application documents to darwin@cedarsnewcastle.staffs.sch.uk
