We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and compassionate professional to take on a dual role as Attendance Officer & SEND Manager - a key position at the heart of our school's student support systems.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in both whole-school attendance and the success of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
About the Role
As Attendance Officer, you will:
- Promote and drive high levels of student attendance across the school.
- Track, monitor, and analyse attendance data.
- Support students with poor attendance through targeted interventions.
- Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to reduce persistent absence.
As SEND Manager, you will:
- Support the SENDCo and SLT with the operational and administrative delivery of our SEND provision.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date SEND records.
- Collect and analyse SEND data to support strategic planning.
- Act as a key point of contact for staff, families, and external professionals.
What We're Looking For

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- A solutions-focused, student-centred approach
- Experience in attendance, SEND, or school administration (preferred but not essential)
- Confidence in using data systems and managing confidential information
About Wishmore Cross Academy
Wishmore Cross Academy, part of Lift Schools, is a special school in Chobham, Surrey for boys aged 7 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties.We can admit up to 82 pupils which means that class sizes are small and we work very closely with our students to ensure they get the most out of each day with us. Set in beautiful grounds, we provide high quality CPD to all staff routed through the instructional excellence model.
