Are you passionate about ensuring every child gets the best possible start in life? As a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting babies, young children and their families through Wakefield's Best Start Family Hubs.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Early Intervention and Prevention team, you will provide advice, guidance and targeted support to families, helping them access the right services at the right time. You will work closely with health professionals, early years settings, schools, SEND services and voluntary sector partners to coordinate support, contribute and facilitate the Team Around the Early Years arrangements and champion inclusive practice across Family Hub services.

The role involves delivering evidence-based interventions, leading inclusive play and learning opportunities, supporting parenting programmes, identifying developmental concerns, and helping to ensure children with emerging needs can fully access and benefit from universal and targeted support.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner with strong knowledge of child development, inclusive and early years practice and safeguarding, who is committed to working collaboratively with families and professionals to improve outcomes, reduce inequalities and help every child reach their full potential.
