
Billing and Metering Administrator
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing and Metering Administrator to join our Mechanical Services Team. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of heat network billing across our portfolio, helping to ensure accurate income recovery and a high-quality service for residents. You’ll work closely with the Billing and Metering Manager and other stakeholders to manage billing queries, maintain data systems, and contribute to the smooth running of approximately 100 heat networks. This is a varied role where your organisational skills and commitment to customer care will help us deliver sustainable heating services across our communities.
What you’ll do
As a Billing and Metering Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents and internal teams regarding heat network billing. You’ll manage supplier relationships, support income recovery processes, and ensure compliance with Heat Trust standards. You’ll maintain accurate records, analyse billing data, and help resolve customer queries efficiently. You’ll also contribute to service improvements, support out-of-hours operations, and deputise for the Billing and Metering Manager when required. Your role will be key in ensuring billing services are delivered effectively and in line with Peabody’s values. You'll be required to attend the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What you’ll need
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proven experience in handling billing queries and producing written reports.
- Confidence using IT systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
- Experience working in building services or a contracting environment.
