
Billing and Metering Administrator

Following new government legislation, we are now an energy provider for our residents, leaseholders and partner organisations. As part of this change, our Heat Networks Team is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Billing and Metering Administrator to help us deliver an efficient, compliant and customer‑focused service.
This is a specialist role supporting the Billing & Metering Manager and acting as the first point of triage for billing, metering and consumption queries. You’ll play a vital role in helping us meet Ofgem requirements, resolve issues quickly, and ensure the energy we provide is fair, accurate and efficient.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing first‑line triage for all billing and metering queries
- Supporting billing processes across heat networks and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Working with metering data, spotting anomalies and escalating issues early
- Helping ensure we meet the standards expected of an Ofgem‑regulated energy provider
- Maintaining accurate records, consumption data and billing information
- Working collaboratively with partners, residents, contractors and internal teams
- Providing clear, confident communication on complex billing issues
- Supporting a newly formed team during a period of change and growth
What you’ll bring
- Experience in energy billing, utilities billing or heat network metering (essential)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with datasets
- Ability to act as a calm, informed triage point for technical or billing issues
- Experience working in a regulated environment (energy, water, housing, telephony, finance etc.)
- Excellent communication and customer‑care skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and support a newly established team

What to expect from our recruitment process

Salary range
- £35,260 per year
