The high rise building remediation programme covers the Building Safety Fund (BSF) and Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) programme and exists to improve the lives of leaseholders and residents, who live in potentially unsafe homes. The programme continues to evolve as we approach a substantial phase of delivery ahead of formal programme closure and this will require flexibility and adaptability.
The interventions team is responsible for monitoring pace and assuring remediation delivery plans as well as working with partner teams to resolve a range of issues to help ensure buildings progress at pace and in line with agreed policy. The team does this by identifying and actioning system and building interventions. These are often complex construction projects and require a technical, project and policy based background in order to be able to work with delivery partners to quickly identify and resolve issues.
The Programme is part of the wider remediation portfolio and will require close working and collaboration with colleagues from across the Buildings, Fire and Resilience Group as well as with our partner teams at the Greater London Authority and Homes England. This is a multi-agency team effort.
This role is within Remediation Programme Funds and Interventions Directorate in the Buildings, Fire and Resilience Group and requires a strong operational and delivery focus as well as a technical understanding of building remediation to ensure progress is being made, issues are well understood and being resolved.
You and your team will collaborate closely with our partner teams to understand system and building specific blockers and to implement targeted interventions to help ensure buildings are able to progress to successful remediation effectively and in the timeliest way possible. You will be responsible for understanding progress, key challenges preventing delivery and for the briefing of ministers and senior stakeholders.

As the Building Safety Fund Interventions Adviser your responsibilities will include:
- Help to shape our interventions approach across slow moving and stuck buildings
- Lead individual interventions to help move buildings through the process
- Work collaboratively with delivery partners to identify where we can be most effective
- Lead evaluation on where our interventions have been most effective
- Draft ministerial briefings and updates
- Task management of an HEO within the team
Person specification
