We’re undergoing rapid transformation with new homes, jobs, and investment reshaping the borough — and now, we're looking for someone like you to be part of that journey.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Building Services Officer to support the day-to-day running of the Abbey Lane Children’s Centre. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and service users.

    Key Duties Include:

    • Minor maintenance and repairs (e.g. lighting, blockages)
    • Routine building inspections and safety reporting
    • Room setup and porterage duties
    • Site cleaning, hygiene, and infection control
    • Acting as First Aider and Fire Warden

    About You:

    • Facilities or caretaking experience
    • Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
    • Flexible, practical, and team-oriented
    • Willing to work on-site full-time (no hybrid option)
    • A clear enhanced DBS check is required

Apply now if you're committed to high standards and want to make a real impact in a vital community setting.

    Please Note:

This is NOT a hybrid role, but flexible working will be considered subject to the exigencies of the service.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 16th October 2025. However, interest in this job may be high and we therefore reserve the right to close the vacancy early.
