About the Role

This is a pivotal time for the Liverpool City Region in relation to transport, our ambition is to deliver a modern, integrated and publicly controlled public transport system.

As Bus Operations Manager you’ll be responsible for managing all the contracts awarded to bus operators through bus franchising and work with the Rail Operations Manager to ensure the bus network operates as a fully integrated part of the Metro network across the Liverpool City Region.

This is the perfect opportunity to manage a multi-disciplinary bus team, managing the day-to-day operational bus network in accordance with contractual terms of the Franchise holder.

About the person

You will have a proven track record of managing services, contracts and effective resource planning along with comprehensive knowledge of public transport legislation and government policy and experience of working with senior leaders.

You will champion the “one team” ethos across the transport function and have the confidence and credibility to lead, manage and inspire our employees in the Hubs, Bus Stations, Network Performance and Control Room Teams.

Salary range

  • £73,019 - £81,918 per year
