Salary: From £55,270 per annum (London weighted salary) or £47,920 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Join our Business Improvement Team at L&Q:
As part of our Business Improvement Team within L&Q’s Strategy & Performance Directorate, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence delivered through a variety of smaller service and business improvement projects supporting our strategic objectives..
They will join an agile, high-performing and values driven team at the heart of L&Q programme of change and improvement, tasked with helping to turn L&Q’s next five-year Corporate Strategy into reality.
Our Corporate Strategy highlights our priorities as well as how these will be underpinned through ‘operational excellence’. For L&Q, this means delivering the best solution for our customers through reliable, consistent and repeatable products and services. We want our customers to know what to expect of us, and know that we will deliver on this, time and time again.
L&Q has recently established a Centre of Excellence and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling operational excellence by delivering a wide range of projects working with colleagues from across L&Q. One day might include running process improvement workshops, another might be delivering a classroom based Continuous Improvement sessions then coaching the successful candidates to help them translate what they’ve learnt in the classroom in real operational situations. All of the projects that you’d be working on will have a singular theme and that is to make L&Q and its services and products operationally excellent.
- The successful candidate will report to one of the Senior Business Improvement Managers.
- You will need to have a proven track record of business/service improvement delivery, with a structured approach that uses continuous improvement and lean techniques to identify and deliver change.

Your impact in the role:
- Successful delivery of a wide range of projects including Small & Medium Change and Process Improvement Projects.
- Driving our Process & Continuous Improvement agenda by delivering training and coaching for teams across the business directly contributing to a highly professional centre of excellence approach.
- You will support colleagues across the organisation to help them understand their own processes, identify waste & inefficiency and then use Lean tools and techniques to remove that waste & inefficiency improving outcomes for customers both internal & external.
- The successful candidate will operate across all areas of L&Q, developing excellent relationships with colleagues in operational and support teams.
What you'll bring:
- A strong ability to actively listen, negotiate, challenge and influence at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively, but possess the confidence to make clear and reasoned decisions as required.
- Experience and understanding of developing continuous improvement activities in the wider business, including implementation of its cultural mindset.
- Extensive experience of designing and redesigning processes as well as identifying pain points for improvement.
- Strong ability to self-manage goals, targets and outputs is required in order to deliver effective change with pace.
- Experience and understanding of implementing service redesign and Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques.
- A sound grasp of project management and change management techniques and have acquired demonstrable experience of delivery.
- The capability to quickly acquire in depth knowledge of L&Q’s business processes and systems.
