We now seek one of two new Business Managers to join the Housing Health and Wellbeing Directorate who will lead a specialist team and manage all aspects of building safety, compliance, capital works, and in escalating our journey towards decarbonisation.

As an innovative and forward-thinking member of the leadership team you will guide, coach, and manage the development of a resolute and committed team to together meet and exceed your KPI’s and expectations.

With strong relationship management skills, both external facing with contractors and tenants when seeking valuable input and views, and internally to drive and further foster a culture of safety and compliance as the subject matter expert for Newark and Sherwood District Council. You will ensure robust strategies are in place to meet our regulatory obligations as well as overall responsibility for the planning, procurement, and management of multi-million-pound revenue and capital workstreams.

You will lead on the strategy for your business unit working in close collaboration with the also newly appointed Business Manager for Housing Repairs and Empty Homes. With demonstrable experience in a construction or housing related environment, and excellent knowledge of the RSH Consumer Standards ,you will deliver transformational change in business processes in a large organisational setting. You will be a member of a professional body such as CIOB/RICS and hold a qualification relevant to the responsibility of this role.
