Help shape the future operating model of a national schools trust
At Lift Schools, we believe an excellent education is an entitlement for every child. Behind every great school is a brilliant operational infrastructure and we are looking for an exceptional Business Process and AI Lead to help us transform how our organisation works at scale.
This is a rare opportunity to play a strategic role at the centre of a national education organisation, helping modernise systems, redesign operational processes and embed AI-enabled ways of working that genuinely reduce workload and improve outcomes for schools, staff and pupils.
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, James Browning and senior leaders across the Trust, you will help ensure our systems, data and workflows operate as one connected ecosystem rather than a collection of disconnected platforms.
About the role
This is not a traditional IT or project management role.
We're looking for someone who can connect systems, processes and AI to help Lift Schools work smarter, reduce complexity and build more efficient ways of working across the Trust.
Working across HR, payroll, finance, talent, safeguarding, MIS and reporting systems, you'll help streamline processes, improve automation and integration, strengthen data quality and embed practical AI solutions that reduce workload and improve decision-making.
This is a high-impact, highly collaborative role where success will come through influence, curiosity, strong relationships and the ability to turn complexity into clarity.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- enjoys solving complex organisational problems
- understands systems, workflows and operational improvement
- is excited by the potential of AI and automation
- can influence stakeholders across teams and functions
- combines strategic thinking with practical delivery
Experience in education is helpful but not essential. We welcome candidates from technology, operations, consulting, transformation or similarly complex environments.

We acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional efforts of everyone here in making this an incredible organisation.
We offer you:
- Comprehensive training: Access a wide range of developmental training to boost your career.
- Generous benefits: From your pension plan to healthcare and financial support, we've got you covered.

The role is due to commence asap.
