Job summary

The Digital, Data and Technology Business Programme Delivery Director will play a pivotal role in delivering TPR’s highly complex DDaT portfolio of projects and programmes in line with the framework of the Enterprise Value Management Office (eVMO). This role goes beyond hands-on delivery to ensure that programme investments consistently realise measurable business outcomes, align with strategic priorities, and create sustainable value for TPR and savers. There is a strong emphasis on delivering successful and measurable impacts and outcomes.

Job description

The successful candidate will be delivery-focused, technically capable, and comfortable working with ambiguity, and closely with diverse teams to solve problems, drive results and unblock challenges at source. Key to the success of the role is driving effective governance, reporting and interdependencies, thus highlighting risks and issues and acting to resolve to ensure on time delivery of milestones and outcomes.

Person specification

  • Proven experience and ability to link delivery execution to enterprise outcomes and value management via managing business portfolios, programmes, and/or transformation programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience unblocking delivery issues for successful programme delivery and completion. Comfortable in surfacing tensions and challenges to ensure successful resolution.
  • Operating at pace, prioritising effectively, and adapting delivery to shifting organisational needs without compromising outcomes
  • Excellent communication, influencing, problem-solving skills across technical and business stakeholders (inc. C Suite level). This includes experience of putting in place and running portfolio governance and reporting.
  • Experience managing and working with outsourced service providers and technology vendors
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PPM, Agile, Scrum, Lean, PRINCE2, SAFe).
  • Experience embedding delivery excellence and value realisation, in regulatory or compliance driven environments.
  • Experience delivery digital, data and technology programmes of scaled and complexity similar to TPR’s portfolio. Appropriate technology, data and agile knowledge is therefore needed.
  • Strong track record of scoping and leading complex portfolios and programmes. Experience in financial, regulated or public sector contexts.
