The second role involves supporting the Work and Skills Team with administrative and customer service tasks linked to helping residents secure employment and access training opportunities. This includes; the Get Rochdale Working Facebook page, managing a joint inbox by responding to resident emails and allocating emails to different members of the team, inputting data onto a CRM system, managing spreadsheets, taking actions in meetings, answering the telephone and supporting with job search and event preparations.

Although due to funding both of these roles are initially for 18 months the post holder will be supported to access any relevant training to support them with their own continuous professional development and be supported with to access other opportunities both internally and externally.

Rochdale Council is a Cooperative Council, which involves changes in how it delivers its services, involving residents more in the decision making process and working, thinking and acting more co-operatively as a council and borough for, ultimately, the benefit of the people and the place. This will be more important than ever going forward with more partnership opportunities being developed to help improve the lives of our residents. Please note: This role may require occasional attendance at meetings and events outside normal work hours. Travel to various locations across the borough may be required.

To apply please highlight whether you are interested more in one or both of the roles and demonstrate how you meet the 10 essential requirements of the role profile and also the values question. We suggest that when completing your application form, you use the person specification criteria as headings then give a specific example.
