Business Support Officer (Early Help)
£21,819 - £25,636 per year
Post Ref: CC087
Please note: Internal, at risk or redeployee applicants will be seen in the first instance.
Business Support provides specialist administrative support to services across the Council. Due to the continued expansion of the Family Group Conference (FGC) Team, we are looking to recruit a highly organised and motivated Business Support Officer to provide dedicated administrative support across both the Family Group Conference Team and the Early Help Team.
This is a busy and varied role, acting as the primary administrative support for both teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing competing priorities, coordinating a wide range of administrative functions, and working independently under the direction of Team Leaders to ensure key deadlines and service requirements are met.
Key responsibilities will include arranging and coordinating meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and supporting documents, taking accurate and detailed minutes, and ensuring actions arising from meetings are appropriately recorded and followed up. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, data input, data management, quality assurance checks, and producing reports and documentation in line with corporate standards.
The role requires someone who is confident handling large volumes of information and data. Strong Excel skills and experience of working with databases and management information systems are essential. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records are critical, as the post supports areas of work with statutory and service deadlines.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent organisational, communication and time management skills. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise a demanding workload, work under pressure, and build positive working relationships with a wide range of professionals across the Council and partner organisations.
The postholder will regularly handle sensitive and confidential information and must therefore demonstrate professionalism, discretion and a commitment to always maintaining confidentiality.
If you are a proactive and resilient administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for providing high-quality business support, we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
