About the Role

We are looking for a caring, committed and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Willow Gardens Extra Care Services.

Willow Gardens is an Extra Care facility providing planned care and support to people living independently within their own homes. The scheme comprises 90 self-contained flats and delivers person-centred care and support to older people, including individuals with disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. Alongside care provision, we promote social opportunities, wellbeing and community engagement across the scheme.

As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort and wellbeing of our residents throughout the night. You will provide high-quality care and support, promote independence, administer medication where required, and respond appropriately to emergencies and night-time care needs. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help us deliver services that meet CQC standards and place residents at the heart of everything we do.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing person-centred care and support to residents throughout the night.
• Assisting with personal care, dignity, hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Supporting residents with eating, drinking and mobility needs.
• Administering medication in line with policies and procedures.
• Responding to emergency calls and taking appropriate action.
• Completing scheduled welfare checks and visits in residents' homes within the Extra Care scheme.
• Promoting independence, choice, equality and inclusion.
• Maintaining accurate records and effective communication with colleagues and professionals.
• Ensuring the security of the building and monitoring health and safety risks.
• Attending training, supervision sessions and team meetings as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience of caring for or supporting older people.
• Understands the importance of providing compassionate, person-centred care.
• Has good verbal and written communication skills.
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Is committed to maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.
• Is willing to undertake mandatory training and relevant qualifications.
• Is flexible and able to work nights, weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
