Join us in a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference as a Care Quality Specialist. This full-time role is ideal for someone looking to develop their experience and skills in adult social care while helping to improve the quality of care and support across the Borough. You will build on existing work, develop your expertise, and play an important role in shaping and embedding high-quality care.

As a Care Quality Specialist, you will:

  • Visit and review care providers
  • Produce reports and support providers with follow-up actions
  • Maintain recording systems and processes

What we’re looking for: We would love to hear from people who are flexible, supportive team players with excellent communication skills and strong professional curiosity. You will bring enthusiasm, a positive ‘can do’ approach, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for people who use services, even in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.

You will be well suited to this role if you have experience in adult social care, quality assurance, provider oversight or a related setting, and are confident producing clear written reports, working collaboratively with others, and supporting improvement in a constructive and professional way.

About the team: We are part of the Adult Safeguarding & Community Safety Directorate. Our team is led by a supportive Team Manager and made up of experienced Care Quality Officers who are passionate about making a difference, alongside fantastic support from our team administrator. We work closely together, value each other’s strengths, and share a real commitment to improving care quality. Through strong partnerships and a collaborative approach, we help providers deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services.

Interviews will be held at Shute End, Wokingham. Before the interview, there will be a skills-based online exercise.
