We are seeking a Care Sector Brokerage Support Officer to join our Care Sector Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of adult social care services by helping to arrange regulated care and support services, ensuring that individuals receive services that meet their assessed needs.

About the Role

As a Care Sector Brokerage Support Officer, you will support the brokerage of regulated care services following assessments completed by Adult Social Care case management teams. You will work closely with social work teams, health professionals, care providers and partner organisations to source and arrange appropriate services whilst ensuring value for money and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the brokerage of regulated care services in line with agreed processes.

• Reviewing and checking service requests to ensure all required information is complete and accurate.

• Liaising and negotiating with care providers and social work teams regarding service arrangements.

• Maintaining accurate electronic and manual records and processing communications in a timely manner.

• Developing and maintaining monitoring systems, spreadsheets, reports, presentations and other documents.

• Supporting contract management activities and procurement processes, including uploading documentation to procurement platforms and assisting with mini-competition award processes.

• Providing administrative support and contributing to the continuous improvement of brokerage and monitoring systems.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

• Has strong IT skills, including experience using databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Can work on their own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Has strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

• Can build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of professionals and care providers.

• Has knowledge of administrative support systems and quality assurance processes.

• Holds an NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

Successful brokerage experience, experience of managing a caseload and knowledge of Adult Social Care is desirable.
