We are looking for a caretaker to join Ashdown Primary School.

We wish to appoint a reliable and self-motivated individual who has proven skills, knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
An ability to effectively undertake site services: cleaning, minor repair and maintenance tasks.
Good initiative and organisational skills.
Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures and protocols is desirable, but training will be given.
Good interpersonal skills.
12.5 hours per week/52 weeks per year with the actual, pro rata, salary as: £8,508-£8,643, pay award pending.
Hours of work: 6:30-9am or 6:45-9:15am Monday to Friday.
The hours will be divided up between maintenance – including health and safety checks and cleaning.
In addition, there is a weekly evening letting and a monthly Saturday let that require the caretaker to lock up. These additional duties are paid on a claims-only basis at 0.75 hours per lock up, at time and a half.
