Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join Lancaster City Council’s vibrant event team and play a key role in creating memorable experiences at The Platform and other council venues. Your friendly presence and dedication will help ensure every event runs smoothly, safely, and enjoyably, contributing to the community’s cultural life and wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll welcome guests with a warm smile, assist with seating, manage ticket and bar sales, and help set up and clear away equipment. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, you’ll ensure fire exits are clear and emergency procedures are followed. As an event steward, you’ll support festivals and events, handle incidents professionally, and keep information displays up to date.
You’ll Fit Right In If…
You have experience in customer service and enjoy working with the public. You’re a great communicator, flexible, and motivated, ready to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You work well both independently and as part of a team, taking pride and ownership in your role. Experience in stewarding, bar work, or first aid is a bonus. Above all, you share our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership to help make every event a success.
