Parking is often a contentious issue, which requires a sensitive approach in order to balance competing traffic management demands with expectations of our customers and partners.
Our team receives over 8,000 incoming challenges and representations each month, which have to be considered within timeframes set by the legislation and as recommended by the Secretary of State for Transport. Over the last five years, our service area achieved the highest performance amongst all London Councils, with over 76% of all cases going in the Council’s favour at the London Tribunals. As the Customer Services PCN Disputes Officer, you will need to ensure that disputes and appeals relating to penalty charge notices are thoroughly investigated, and that members of the public receive high-quality and well-drafted responses. Your role will require you to have an analytical mind, excellent letter writing and investigative skills, and the ability to make decisions based on clear parking policies and consideration guidelines.
You will be required to show high standards of customer service at all times, whilst delivering high quality and courteous responses, primarily in writing but also by phone and email. This will include recognising vulnerable customers, delivering fair and balanced outcomes, and ensuring that the right balance is struck between local policies and individual circumstances.
You will also undergo extensive in-house training which will be delivered by our experts, who will equip you with the necessary knowledge. Subsequent Level 3 NVQ accreditation will also need to be obtained.

The Customer Relations Team handles complaints for all corporate and social care services. We are seeking a person who is committed to working within the small but busy Customer Relations Team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and ICT skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel at an advanced level, and be responsible for: <ul><li>monitoring the team’s mailboxes and navigating the council’s electronic systems to prioritise and manage corporate and social care complaints. </li><li>accurately logging and assigning complaints to departments across the council, coordinating responses and monitoring for timeliness, ensuring accurate records and filing are maintained. </li><li>producing data, charts and graphs, and analysing them to report on the council’s performance. </li></ul>The role may, on occasion, require the successful candidate to listen and take complaints over the telephone, using the highest customer service standards. About the role BEAM are seeking casual team members to join the Welcome Team.The successful candidates will assist Duty Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the food and beverage operation and be the open, friendly, knowledgeable face of BEAM. Successful candidates will work ad hoc evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.Candidates must be 18+ What will you be doing? Some of the key responsibilities include: • Provide high standards of customer care at all times. • To be familiar with the venues ever changing artistic offer of shows, films, and events. • To be familiar with the food and beverage menu. • Serve drinks, food, and confectionery across the building. • To maintain the required level of cleanliness across all front of house and back of house areas as required by the Hospitality and Operations Manager (including equipment, washrooms, rooms for hire, and auditoria). • Undertake the manual handling of goods, refuse and equipment. • Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. • Assist customers to purchase tickets at the ticketing kiosks as necessary • Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system. An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a casual leisure attendant post based at Bootle Leisure Centre, to work in the role of a lifeguard.
You are required to hold a full - current lifeguarding certificate and will be expected to provide poolside as well as dry-side area supervision. You will be required to work as part of a team, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.&nbsp; This role requires constant supervision of the poolside; you will need to be fully focused with the ability to remain vigilant, alert, and attentive at all times.&nbsp; This position also involves the setting up of equipment to meet the needs of the programmed activities and to undertake cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is well presented to the highest standard.&nbsp;
Ideal candidates will need to be available to work throughout the summer holiday period June to September inclusive.
Candidates will have a friendly and approachable manner to always maintain a high level of customer service.&nbsp; Candidates must attend monthly training sessions to demonstrate competency and maintain a valid qualification.
Qualifications
It is essential you have a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A first aid at work qualification, AED and pool plant operator’s certificate are also desirable.
Skills and Experience
The Leisure Attendant should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position.
