The Dormston Centre is a thriving dual-use facility located within Dormston School. Established in April 2000 through funding from the National Lottery and Sport England, the Centre serves as a vibrant hub for arts, sports, and adult education across North Dudley. Our premier facilities include a spacious Sports Hall, a floodlit synthetic pitch, and a purpose-built 350-seat theatre. We are committed to providing the local community with high-quality, accessible, and affordable facilities to host events, participate in sport, and engage in creative activities.

The Role
Casual Leisure / Bar / Theatre Assistant
We are looking for motivated, adaptable individuals to join our team in a casual capacity. This varied role supports operations across both our busy leisure centre and popular community theatre.


Grade 3 £13.05 per hour

This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of our team, directly contributing to the experiences of our leisure visitors, adult learners, and theatre enthusiasts. This varied role requires excellent customer service skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively across different operational areas.

Shift Adaptability

  • Varying Patterns: Working a mix of late evening and weekends
  • Peak Attendance: Ensuring availability during high-volume periods like holiday seasons and major theatre shows.
  • Location: The Dormston Centre, Mill Bank, Sedgley, Dudley, DY3 1SN
  • Start Date: September 2026
