Casual Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs Assistants

The post holder will work flexibly, across all sites, in a team within Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs delivering an efficient and effective service to customers whilst maintaining high standards of customer care.
The postholder will support customers and visitors to access the full range of Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs services. The postholder will support the promotion and delivery of activities and events for customers across the service.
As well as delivering services face to face the postholder will provide information to customers and support them in the use of online services.
The postholder will carry out stock control including maintaining and actively promoting materials for loan in all formats and making recommendations about stock content.
This role will also include assisting with the collection of statistical information and returns, providing general administrative support and reconciling cash in accordance with agreed procedures.
The postholder will be required to work flexibly providing support across Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs.
Duties will entail a considerable amount of lifting and handling of items.
