About you…

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Confident using computers
  • Experience of understanding and applying complex legislation, regulations or set guidelines and instructions
  • Experience of working in an environment requiring tact and discretion, including dealing with the vulnerable or terminally ill
  • Exemplary written communication skills, spelling and grammar, required to produce official documentation and correspondence
  • Highly developed verbal skills in order to be clearly understood by customers of all nationalities, with an authoritative clear speaking voice

About the role…

Our Ceremonies team assist with the undertaking of Marriages, Civil Partnerships, Citizenship Ceremonies, and other celebratory functions. This role will see you working at licensed premises throughout the County and at the Register Office in Oakham.

You will work as part of a small team, often at weekends and short notice and bring a sensitive, people-centred focus to the role. Commitment to excellent customer care and oral, written, and organisational skills will be key.

Hours of work are variable, dependent on ceremony bookings and are likely to be more frequent over the summer period.
