About the role… Our Ceremonies team assist with the undertaking of Marriages, Civil Partnerships, Citizenship Ceremonies, and other celebratory functions. This role will see you working at licensed premises throughout the County and at the Register Office in Oakham.
You will work as part of a small team, often at weekends and short notice and bring a sensitive, people-centred focus to the role. Commitment to excellent customer care and oral, written, and organisational skills will be key.
Hours of work are variable, dependent on ceremony bookings and are likely to be more frequent over the summer period.

The City of London Corporation is seeking an organised and detail-focused Electoral Services Officer to support the administration of elections and the maintenance of key electoral and civic databases.
Working within a small and committed team, you will play a central role in managing the Electoral Register, City of London Ward Lists, the City Occupiers Database (COD), and the Common Hall Register of Liverymen. The team are responsible for preparing and maintaining the Register of Electors, the administration of all Local, Parliamentary and Police and Crime Commissioner elections along with administrative support to Legal Services.
Your main role will be to support the Electoral Services Manager and the Electoral Registration Officer in the administration of all elections and referendums in the borough. You will also assist in the preparation, compilation and maintenance of a complete and accurate Register of Electors. You will need a high level of accuracy as you will need to input data and collate information.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent literacy, communication and ICT skills. They must be able to prioritise their own workload effectively and efficiently and supervise staff in a busy office environment particularly during elections.
Previous experience of working in an electoral office would be desirable. However, a broad understanding of office administration is essential.

We are currently seeking volunteers to serve as Independent Remuneration Panel members within the Democratic and Registration Services Department.
This is a voluntary position with specific requirements in accordance with the constitution of Bracknell Forest Council.
<h3>About you...</h3>
As an Independent Remuneration Panel member, you will make recommendations to Bracknell Forest Council relating to allowances. The aim of your role as a volunteer is to ensure that public funds are utilised efficiently, whilst ensuring Councillors are fairly reimbursed for their responsibilities.
<h3>About the team...</h3>
The Independent Remuneration Panel consists of five members who review the allowance schemes at Bracknell Forest Council. The chair will lead the panel through each review. Bracknell Forest Council will provide administrative support to research and collate information required to support the work.
<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>
Each review you will be expected to:

<li>Consider and make recommendations on allowances within Bracknell Forest Council.</li>
<li>Attend two one-day meetings per review.</li>
<li>Read and understand the information on how the authority operates and the roles and responsibilities of councillors as provided by the authority.</li>
<li>Read papers and reports, giving careful consideration to evidence and information provided at meetings by officers and ask questions on this evidence.</li>

There are 25 Assembly Members, elected every four years at the same time as the Mayor. The Secretariat works for the Assembly to support its activities. The
Communications Team support service to promote the work of the Assembly through press office, social media, publicity and events.
<h2>About the role</h2>
The Committee Services team has a vacancy for a Principal Committee Manager, supporting the work of the London Assembly and its committees. You will work in a team that also provides key clerking support across the GLA Group to the London Assembly, Mayor of London, Transport for London, London Legacy Development Corporation and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.
No two days are the same and you can often read about work you’ve contributed to in the media on your way home.

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
