Join us as a Change Manager and help transformL&Q:

At L&Q, we’re on an ambitious journey to transform how we maintain our homes and deliver services for thousands of residents. Over the next three years, we’re redesigning our operating model, improving how our teams work together, and introducing new technology and data-driven insights. As our Change Manager, you’ll lead the people side of this transformation — ensuring our colleagues are engaged, ready, and confident to work in new ways. If you’re motivated by making a lasting impact for colleagues and residents, this is the role for you. We’re driven by our social purpose to provide homes and create communities people can be proud of — and this role will be key to making that happen.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role: You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how change happens at L&Q — making sure our people are supported through every stage and that new ways of working truly embed. In this role, you will:
  • Lead the people side of change for one or more projects, from initial impact assessment through to full adoption and embedding.
  • Partner with project and business leaders to ensure change plans are practical, have buy-in, and are aligned with the wider portfolio.
  • Work closely with Organisational Development, Learning & Development and Communications teams to design and deliver coordinated engagement, learning, and communications plans.
  • Coach and equip leaders to own and lead change confidently within their areas.
  • Build readiness, engagement, and feedback loops so we can measure and sustain change adoption.
  • Contribute to growing change capability across L&Q, helping us strengthen how we deliver transformation at scale.

By helping our colleagues to adapt and thrive, you’ll enable L&Q to deliver services we can all be proud of.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading the people side of large-scale transformation, ideally including operating model or service redesign.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Ability to simplify complex messages and tailor communication for different audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams within a transformation programme or portfolio.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change, bringing structure, empathy, and calm under pressure.
  • Coaching and facilitation skills that help leaders and teams navigate change successfully.
  • (Desirable) Accreditation or training in a recognised change management framework (e.g. Prosci, APMG)

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process, including application stage, please email lqcareers@lqgroup.org.uk
