Job Description

Requirements

You will have knowledge of cemetery procedure and grounds maintenance. You will have Burial Qualification, eg ICCM; COTS/Customer Care and PA1A & PA6A weed killing certification.

Responsibilities

You will undertake various disciplines of Cemetery/Gravedigging work and also work within general open spaces within the Environment Department, ensuring the required standards of workmanship are achieved.

The Individual

You will have the ability to drive/operate all relevant plant, eg compact tractor, excavator, pick-up, van, ride on grass cutter, various small plant and digger banks. You will have knowledge of memorial safety. You will have the ability to work without supervision, be mechanically minded and a good communicator. The ability to work under pressure and the ability to deal with the public in a polite and courteous manner is also essential. You will have the ability to work outdoors in all weathers and have a full driving licence.

    Salary range

    • £31,813 - £34,553 per year
