Create safer paths for the next generation.
Join us as a Children and Young Persons Officer, using your expertise to support and guide teams, strategic leads and external partners on issues affecting young people. You’ll support youth-focused projects that prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, and coordinate responses to youth engagement across police and partner agencies.
You’ll be
- Implementing the Child Centred Policing Delivery Plan and recognising gaps in this.
- Guiding officers on appropriate approaches to young people regarding crime prevention.
- Creating and delivering the Leicestershire Police ‘Educational Offer’.
You must have
- An understanding of child/adolescent development and what can impact this.
- Partnership working experience and sharing best practices for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and skilled using new and social medias.
