    The role:

    The role of City Events Manager will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight and expert delivery of all third-party events requiring Land use Agreements or partnership support across Liverpool


    Delivery of the City Events Manager role will include leading the assessment, scoping and facilitation of major external events such as Christmas Markets, Africa Oye, Cream, Pride and largescale commercial or cultural showcases


    In the role of City Events Manager, you will oversee safety critical planning, operational documentation, risk assessments, crowd management strategies, and ensure all events meet statutory, regulatory and governance requirements


    The role of City Events Manager includes acting as a senior liaison point for external organisers, emergency services, blue light partners, internal departments and national event bodies, ensuring Liverpool continues to operate as a worldclass event destination


    Your demonstrable knowledge as a City Events Manager will include technical event operations, licensing, safety standards, public protection, commercial negotiation, emergency planning, procurement oversight and event governance


    The role of City Events Manager will also support, inspire and develop the Events and Creative Producing Team, deputise for the Head of City Events where required, and drive innovation, sustainability and social value across all event delivery
