Do you enjoy driving and want to be part of the civic life of your community? We’re looking for a professional and reliable Civic Chauffeur to drive and accompany the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Members, and officers to official engagements, Mayoral functions, and civic events.

This prestigious role places you at the heart of ceremonial occasions, ensuring the Mayor arrives safely, punctually, and with the dignity the role deserves.

Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.

About you

We’re looking for a Civic Chauffeur who is reliable, professional, and able to work independently within agreed procedures. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Mayor and other officials by ensuring smooth and timely transport to civic and official events.

You’ll need to be highly organised, capable of planning and adjusting routes as needed, and able to meet deadlines even when schedules change at short notice. Discretion is essential in this role, as you’ll be trusted with confidential information and expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with passengers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate good judgment, respect confidentiality, and maintain a courteous and presentable manner at all times. An awareness of discrimination and a commitment to promoting equality and respect are also important.

A full, valid driving licence is required. You must also be willing to wear the appropriate uniform (provided) and be available for occasional evening and weekend work as part of the civic schedule.

If you're someone who values professionalism, service, and civic pride—we’d love to hear from you.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
