Class Teacher

Kingsland School is looking to recruit a class teacher for January 2027 or earlier if possible. The school operates on two sites, Stanley and Castleford. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work on either or both sites at any point in the future. The current vacancy is for one of our Early Years classes at the Stanley site due to the promotion of the current postholder.

Following an outstanding Ofsted judgement in 2023 the school has further developed all aspects of provision for its pupils. The school caters for pupils from across the Wakefield District who have severe and profound learning disabilities, many of whom have complex autism. We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic teachers to join our team. The successful candidates will join an excellent team of skilled and motivated staff who are committed to pupil progress and individual achievement. Applications are invited from outstanding classroom practitioners, with recent experience or expertise of working within the EYFS or KS1 phase, and experience of working with pupils who have complex and severe learning needs. However, successful candidates may be asked to work within any Key Stage in the future. You should have a commitment to collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and be prepared to work across the school. As a highly skilled professional, you will have good interpersonal skills and be able to motivate a dedicated and hard working staff team in order to ensure that the school contiues to provide an outstanding level of education to all of its pupils.
