Hale CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and suitably experienced Classroom Assistant to join our hardworking, highly skilled and ambitious team for the next academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a caring and inclusive school community where children are encouraged to live out our vision to ‘Be the Light’ and are supported to achieve their full potential.
About Us
Hale CE Primary School is a happy single-form entry Church of England school situated in a semi-rural village setting. Guided by our Christian vision, "Be the Light", we strive to nurture every child to shine brightly, develop their unique gifts and make a positive difference in the world around them.
We offer our children a broad, ambitious and enriched curriculum and are proud of our nurturing and inclusive ethos. Our committed staff provide an inspiring learning environment where children feel safe, valued and supported to achieve their very best.
Our children consistently demonstrate our school expectations to Be Ready, Be Responsible and Be Respectful, creating a calm, purposeful and positive atmosphere for learning throughout the school.
Our school is judged "Good" by Ofsted and we have an ambition to be even better. We are committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring every child flourishes academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and suitably experienced Classroom Assistant to support children on a 1:1 basis within a classroom setting, in small groups and through some of our lunchtime and after-school provision. Initially, the role will be based in KS1 in the mornings and with small groups in KS2 in the afternoons.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to supporting all children to achieve their full potential.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school's values and expectations.
- Work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
- Be adaptable, resilient and able to respond to the changing needs of pupils.
- Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards supporting teaching and learning.
As pupil needs can change throughout the school year, we are looking for someone who can work flexibly and adapt their role accordingly. This may include supporting different children, year groups or provisions as required to ensure that all pupils receive the support they need to flourish.
In Return We Can Offer
- A caring and welcoming Christian school that values everyone.
- A highly inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- The opportunity to work with motivated pupils who consistently strive to be ready, responsible and respectful.
- Supportive families and strong community links.
- A supportive governing body and a dedicated school team.
- A commitment to your professional development.
- Well-resourced classrooms and outdoor spaces.
- The opportunity to contribute to a school where our vision, "Be the Light", is lived out every day.
We warmly welcome and encourage prospective applicants to visit our school and experience first-hand our caring ethos, wonderful children and dedicated staff team. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
If you are passionate about supporting children to achieve their very best and would like to join our friendly and committed team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to receipt of an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, as well as other pre appointment checks.
