Role: Voids Clearance Driver Labourer
Reports to: Voids Supervisor
The Role: As a Voids Clearance Driver/labourer you operate a clearance vehicle and undertake a variety of tasks identified in a void property as per a specification produced by the Voids Manager and/or Supervisor, taking ownership of work, operating within Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters. Working arrangements may be as part of a team or lone working, dependent upon the scope of the works required. Works may include but not limited to, property clearance, redecoration, cleaning and two man assistance works.
Accountabilities:
- Operating a clearance vehicle, loading and unloading of material
- Removing contents from void addresses and tipping this at the waste management site
- Performing cleaning duties on a void property, to assist the management team
- Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices
- Affording excellent customer service to client representatives
- Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner
Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times. Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Social Housing Experience
- Previous experience in Voids or Property repairs/maintenance
Additionally:
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity as there will be frequent use of hand tools
- You may be required to work at height or uneven ground
- You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction
