We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant to join our Revenues & Benefits team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for public service to contribute to the smooth running of a vital council function.

You will play a key role in supporting operations through a range of clerical and administrative duties, helping ensure our services run efficiently and effectively to include:

Operating Document Image Processing equipment and systems
Opening, sorting, and returning customer documents promptly
Recording customer contact and distributing correspondence
Using multiple IT applications to carry out daily system tasks, including electronic banking and reporting
Obtaining Land Registry and other documentation, and supporting debtor tracing procedures
Processing credit reports and customer refunds
Processing DWP and other notifications related to debt recovery

It is essential that you have experience working effectively as part of a team along with having:

Good level of competency in general IT and Microsoft Office systems.
Strong numerical and written skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
