Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented B2B marketeer, with an interest in history and the cultural sector.

This role is crucial in supporting our strategic objectives, supporting The National Archives vision - increasing profile, and deepening engagement, nationally and globally, in person and online.

You will develop and manage a range of marketing campaigns with a particular focus on our professional and business-to-business commercial products and services such as the Image Library and Digitisation Services. You will provide marketing and brand support to Licensing and Publishing projects, working with external partners to launch and promote new products and publications to consumers. You will support all departments across the organisation with strategic marketing needs, including events, conferences, social media and digital engagement.

This is a full time position. However, requests for part-time working, flexible working and job share will be considered, taking into account at all times the operational needs of the Department. A combination of onsite and home working is available and applicants should be able to regularly travel to our Kew site for a minimum of 60% of their work time.

Selection for interview will be based on the ‘essential’ criteria shown below so please ensure that your statement demonstrates in detail how you meet these requirements.

Essential criteria:

  • Experience of business-to-business marketing and/or launching new products or commercial initiatives

  • Hands-on experience of developing and managing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns from start to finish (including multimedia, email and social media)

  • Excellent written English, with versatile copy editing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills, experience of working in and leading project teams, presenting and influencing

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, can work flexibly, think creatively to solve problems, and demonstrate sound judgement

  • Numerate and able to interpret data and statistics, proficient in Excel and database use
