Salary: £48,691 per annum to £58,759 per annum (London weighted salary) or £42,668 per annum to £52,143 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience
Grade: 9
Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

We’re looking for a Communications Manager for Resident Involvement to lead how we communicate with and about our residents, making sure their voices are heard, understood and acted on across the organisation.
This is a pivotal role within the Resident Communications team, reporting to the Head of Resident Communications. You’ll play a key part in embedding a resident-focused culture by delivering strategic communications that amplify resident voice, support engagement activity and strengthen transparency.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Insight, Involvement and Accountability team, you’ll make sure our communications are impactful, compliant and aligned to both organisational priorities and housing regulation requirements.

Your impact in the role:
- Lead and deliver strategic communications campaigns that increase awareness of resident involvement opportunities and outcomes
- Own communications for key resident engagement activity, including high-profile events, like Resident Assemblies
- Develop and implement a forward-planned calendar of internal and external communications to promote resident voice and support service improvement
- Ensure L&Q meets regulatory and legal requirements for resident communications, including transparency and reporting obligations
- Drive improvements in how we communicate with residents that require additional support and diverse audiences
- Work across teams to provide expert advice and ensure accessible, inclusive and effective communications
- Evaluate the impact of communications activity and use insight to continuously improve delivery
- Where applicable, manage and support team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture
- Manage reputational risk and oversee the quality and accuracy of communications outputs
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior communications role within a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in resident or customer engagement communications
- Strong track record of developing and delivering strategic communications campaigns
- Strong content development and storytelling capability across channels, engaging diverse audiences
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and building trusted relationships
- Ability to translate complex insight and business priorities into clear, impactful communications
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in social housing or a similar sector (desirable)
- Confidence using digital platforms, content systems and MS Office tools
