Overall Job Purpose:

Our Communities and Wellbeing Team are responsible for a range of programmes that support community safety, cohesion, resilience and wellbeing. Working with our community partners is at the heart of what we do and this role will be key to achieving our objectives. The Team are looking for a person who has the passion and experience of working in community development.

The Communities and Wellbeing Project Officer will support the delivery of the Arun Local Community Network and represent the Council across voluntary and community sector partnerships. The role will also facilitate the Arun Youth Council. The role will support the delivery of community projects, including the Council’s cost of living response and community resilience programmes.

The role will contribute to the delivery of Council priorities as identified within the Council’s

Vision, Wellbeing Strategy and the Safer Arun Partnership Plan.
