Contract Type: FTC up to 6 months Full Time - 35 hours

Salary: £26,775 per annum plus Essential Car User allowance (£1,300 per annum)*

Working Location: Mobile across North and East London

Persona: Mobile

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (ad hoc evening and weekend work as required)

The Community Centre Assistant is an integral part of the wider Community Asset London Team who look after community centres across a varied geographical area. This role will focus on centres in North and East of London but will be required to provide cover for other centres in South London on an ad hoc basis.

Your impact in the role:

As the Community Centre Assistant you will provide operational support for the day-to-day running of the centres and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly travel to centres across the portfolio to complete and record Health and Safety compliance checks and building safety for the centre
  • Using IT systems to report repairs and make bookings
  • Setting up rooms as per booking requirements such as chairs, tables and technical appliances
  • Setting up refreshments
  • General cleaning and maintenance
  • Providing excellent customer support to users
  • Opening and closing the building, this can include evenings and weekends as required.

What you'll bring:

  • A passionate and positive attitude with great customer service skills to deliver customer focused solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous caretaking experience or similar working in a customer facing role with knowledge of health and safety compliance
  • A flexible and positive approach to work with excellent organisational skills
  • Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft programs and inhouse systems

As you will be required to travel between the centres you will need to have a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for Business Use.
