Community Engagement Officer

Saffron Walden Museum, opened in 1835, it is the accredited museum service for Uttlesford and holds extensive collections of social history, decorative arts, archaeology and natural sciences relating to the district and its regional context, as well as some historic collections from around the world.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the museum, and to cultural heritage and arts participation in the district.

You will have experience of working in a customer facing environment such as a museum, gallery or retail space. This role involves planning and delivering collections-based events in the district, supervising volunteers and applying for funding for audience development projects.
